Saturday May 09, 2020
Saturday May 09, 2020
Anthony and Travis from Bonehead Brewing join the Virtual Front Bar for a Grilling about their fine brews.
If you'd like to enjoy the beers we discuss as you listen you'll need to grab cans of the Junior, Revered and Sweet Pea [and maybe the Marzen too.]
And if you haven't heard it before check out their first visit on Series 1 Episode 7.
The guys take us through the journey from being keen home brewers to actually owning a brewery with all of the fun and drama that such a journey brings.
How do they decide on their beer names, why the logo change, why no growlers and just why do they keep overfilling their cans?
There's some tense moments when Lord Andy Coyne asks if the first Bonehead he ever tried was tainted [the answer may surprise you] and can the boys get through a whole episode without bickering?
We discuss how to make the most out of bad situations like the corona virus lockdown and close things out by exploring the likelihood of them being sued because of their latest specialty release!
You can check out their website https://www.boneheadbrewing.com.au and if you haven't already liked our instagram and Facebook pages please do so to keep up to date on all of our news, beer deals and upcoming episodes.

Tuesday May 05, 2020
[Updated Version!] Travis and Davydd are joined by the gang from Hopheads, an innovative and exciting pair of bottleshops in Melbourne's West.
There's exploding kegs, some friendly bickering about who found the Altona site and a safe that became a cool room! Which Melbourne bars were the inspiration for Hopheads, which do the guys think are Australia's most over-rated and will there ever be a Hopheads in Yarraville?
Will Davydd manage to convince the Malaysian government to give him an all-expenses paid tip to help boost tourism, and what's coming through Travis' ceiling windows today?
There's also some sensible conversations about what steps the guys are taking to ensure that business can continue through the corona virus lockdown, which breweries helped out with canning lines [Spoiler it was Hop Nation and Dainton] and which beers are their unicorns?
Hopheads can be found here: https://hopheads.com.au and here: https://www.facebook.com/hopheadsAU/ but not here: www.hopheadsbar.com
