S3 E20 - NOMAD & Ale Farm - Virtual Meet the Brewers

In a very special INTERNATIONAL Virtual Meet the Brewers Episode Travis, Warren & Davydd are joined by Brooks from NOMAD and Kasper for Ale Farm to discuss their recent collaboration and many other fun topics!

S3 E19 - Sam Sam but Different

Travis and Davydd are joined by Sam Ludeman and Sam Russell from Sam Sam but Different - one of Melbourne's favourite pub band duos.

The whole gang revisit their country roots before discussing the best places for live music and beers around Melbourne and indeed the whole world! We hear of their fateful meeting in Grade Six and of the strangest things that they ever seen at gigs. [Could Leo Sayer have actually said THAT???] 

We discuss the upsides and downsides of performing during social isolation and what lasting changes the guys think might emerge in both the music and hospitality industries as we look forward to the easing of restrictions.

S3 E18 - La Sirene - Virtual Meet the Brewers

In a big bumper episode Costa and Will tell us about the La Sirene story while we get to sample some of their amazing farmhouse beers.

Costa explains his journey from winemaker to beer maker, why the site they chose was so important to the beers they can make and what he learned through mistakes along the way.

S3 E17 - Kumar From Deeds Brewing

Today's episode is all about the fine art of being a beer rep with Kumar from Deeds Brewing.

We explore Kumar's humble beginnings in the trapeze education industry before moving on to discuss what he had to do to get a gig as a beer rep in Melbourne. Davydd and Kumar recall their first meeting when he was halfway through this process and Davydd gives plenty of unsolicited advice about what makes a good beer rep.

We hear all of the latest news from Deeds, including the exciting news that they have received council approval for their tap house. What innovative ways have they found to deal with the corona virus lockdown and which overseas countries is Deeds now available in?

Kumar takes us on a guided tour of the special 4-pack which the Cool Room is home delivering [alongside many other fun home deliveries to coincide with our Virtual Meet the Brewers Series] including two specialty beers and two of the core range which have helped drive them forward.

Kumar tells of his experiences inside coolrooms but most controversially of all... he declares that his dog is the cutest dog of any beer rep in Melbourne!

S3 E16 - Bonehead Brewing - Virtual Meet the Brewers

Anthony and Travis from Bonehead Brewing join the Virtual Front Bar for a Grilling about their fine brews.

There's exploding kegs, some friendly bickering about who found the Altona site and a safe that became a cool room! Which Melbourne bars were the inspiration for Hopheads, which do the guys think are Australia's most over-rated and will there ever be a Hopheads in Yarraville?

Will Davydd manage to convince the Malaysian government to give him an all-expenses paid tip to help boost tourism, and what's coming through Travis' ceiling windows today?

Damo and Davydd are rejoined by Lord Andy Coyne [who we last saw before the Melbourne City Wrestling show at Moon Dog for Good Beer Week] to talk craft beer, home brewing and of course all things wrestling!

We learn about Lord Andy's favourite beers and pubs back in the old country and his first encounter with VB when he arrived in Australia. How did his home-brewed lemon meringue beer turn out and what kinds of hijinks take place in the bathrooms behind the scenes at wrestling shows?

We also get to hear the back story to The No Holds Bar, the wrestling show that emanates from The Royal Mail on Spencer. What was Lord Andy up to with Moon Dog that led to the show's creation and how does Davydd feel about his first ever interview to camera?

And we talk to Lord Andy about the impact that the corona virus lockdown is having on the wrestling industry around the world. How are individuals dealing with it and what positives and negatives does he see for the future?

Joel Drysdale returns [he first visited us for Series 2 Episode 5] to bring us up to speed with all the news from Venom Beers and his new bottleshop District in Pascoe Vale.

Travis and Davydd are joined by comedian, writer and all round great person Anna Brennan to discuss what life in stand-up is like since the Corona virus arrived. Originally Anna had been due to perform some shows at the Royal Mail on Spencer as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival - but when that was cancelled she's found all sorts of other new outlets for her talents. Learn about her comedic beginnings in Melbourne, her favourite venues to hang out and perform in Queensland and how she downgraded her writing ambitions from would-be novelist to would-be novella writer during the space of just one podcast.
